The Canadian Race Relations Foundation (CRRF) is steadfast in its commitment to collaborating with like-minded civil society, labour, private sector entities, and government on one common cause: eradicating racism in Canadian society. It will not be an easy task and will require many hard conversations and challenging initiatives. Still, we believe there is no time to waste in rooting out systemic racism, which has acted as a cancer to many communities across this nation.
We thank the Government of Canada for expressing its confidence in our work with this two-year investment of $11.22 million to the Canadian Race Relations Foundation. In particular, we thank Heritage Minister Steven Guilbeault for his commitment to our organization’s mandate.
This investment demonstrates the need to strengthen the CRRF as a national organization to work directly with community groups and anti-racism initiatives to build a more equitable society for racialized Canadians. We look forward to working with all Canadians willing to meet the challenge of addressing and ending racism in this country.
