Applications for the 2025-2026 National Anti-Racism Fund for Events and Youth Initiatives are open 

The Canadian Race Relations Foundation (CRRF)’s National Anti-Racism Fund (NARF) for Events and Youth Initiatives is now accepting applications from organizations across Canada who are organizing anti-racism events and youth initiatives in 2025-2026.   

The National Anti-Racism Fund has awarded close to $11 million to nearly 600 organizations across Canada since its launch in 2022. Last year, we provided over $1 million in funding to 136 events and youth initiatives.  

Events and Youth Initiative grantees include organizations who are planning events across Canada which are community-based, public, social, and/or learning occasions and activities that align with the themes and objectives of the NARF. Awardees also include organizations that are youth-led or focused on youth (persons below the age of 30). Initiatives can include conferences, summits, workshops, galas, festivals, exhibits, and reconciliation or intercultural activities.   

Supporting young people in their anti-racism work is not just important—it’s essential. They are the ones who will carry forward the legacy of the choices we make today. Through this stream of our National Anti-Racism Fund, we’re proud to stand alongside youth leaders who are pushing for change and imagining a more inclusive, equitable future for everyone in Canada. Applications will be accepted from May 23^rd to July 4^th, 2025 for Events or Youth Initiatives that will take place between December 1^st, 2025 and September 30^th, 2026.  

The application portal will remain open for Events and Youth Initiatives until 11:59 pm (EST) on July 4, 2025. Late applications will not be accepted.  Applications submitted by 11:59 pm (EST) on July 4, 2025, will have decisions made in mid-October 2025.
