The CRRF Welcomes Jamal Koulmiye-Boyce
Jamal is a passionate educator and advocate with nine years of experience in anti-racism, solidarity work, and catalyzing community-driven change across Canada. He holds an Honors Bachelor of Social Science in Conflict Studies and Human Rights with a Minor in Economics from the University of Ottawa and a graduate diploma in project management and program evaluation from St. Francis Xavier University.
As a 2022 National Pathy Fellow, Jamal founded Color In Practice, a national social enterprise providing impactful programming for Black, Indigenous, and Racialized youth, while assisting charities, non-profits, and private businesses in their efforts to advance social justice. In 2023, Color In Practice hosted Canada’s first in-person annual national convening of Black and Indigenous changemakers.
Jamal continues to share his expertise in anti-oppressive frameworks and community-informed governance through his advisory role at Indigenous Youth Roots, a national Indigenous-led charity.
In his spare time, Jamal enjoys bushcraft, backcountry camping, and connecting with nature.
