Reporting to the Executive Lead of the Hub, the Director, Combatting Hate Hub will play a pivotal role in advancing CRRF’s anti-hate initiatives while fostering strong relationships with communities, law enforcement, victim services, and policymakers. Leading a team of four (Partnership Managers (2), Policy and Research Manager, and a Program Manager), they will drive strategic planning, policy development, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring the successful implementation of hate crime prevention programs, public outreach, and coalition-building efforts.
Specifically, the Director will drive stakeholder engagement through roundtables, community discussions, and events, representing CRRF in public forums and supporting communications efforts related to combatting hate. Acting as a key advisor and representative of the Foundation, the Director will liaise with federal and provincial officials, law enforcement agencies, and community organizations, offering expertise and policy recommendations on legislative reforms and anti-hate strategies. They will work closely with the CRRF Communications team on public messaging and responses to emerging issues. Internally, they will provide guidance to staff, ensuring effective project execution, talent development, and operational efficiency. The Director will also contribute to risk management, procurement, and the overall governance of the Hub, ensuring that CRRF’s initiatives are impactful, sustainable, and aligned with its mission of fostering inclusion and combating discrimination across Canada.
As the ideal candidate, you are a strategic and mission-driven leader with a strong background in anti-hate, anti-racism, and human rights initiatives. You bring at least five years of experience in project and people management, successfully leading policy development, stakeholder engagement, and community-driven programs. With a deep understanding of anti-oppression frameworks and hate crime issues, you are skilled at translating research and strategy into impactful policies and programs. You are highly organized, adaptable, and thrive in fast-paced environments, balancing multiple priorities while ensuring measurable outcomes. An exceptional communicator, you are comfortable with public speaking, media engagement, and relationship-building across diverse sectors. Staff see you as a collaborative and inspiring leader, committed to fostering inclusive and equitable workplaces. Proficient in digital tools and bilingualism in French and English is a strong asset, you are also open to travel and flexible work schedules to support national initiatives.
Salary: $110,000 – $130,000 per annum. CRRF offers a comprehensive benefits package, which includes up to 8% performance bonus, 4% of annual income towards RRSP plan, and life, disability, medical and dental care insurance.
