Announcing the first cycle of EYI 2023-2024 National Anti-Racism Fund recipients
The Canadian Race Relations Foundation (CRRF) is excited to announce recipients of the first cycle of our 2023-2024 National Anti-Racism Fund (NARF) for Events and Youth Initiatives.
To date, 65 anti-racism events and youth initiatives will be enabled to carry out transformative work across Canada over the next few months through a total of $455,591 of funding.
“Communities know better than anyone what they need. Directing these funds to local champions gives them vital resources to challenge systemic racism from the ground up. Now, more than ever, these efforts to pool our collective wisdom and good faith toward building a more inclusive and equitable Canada are essential.”
Mohammed Hashim, Executive Director, CRRF
The National Anti-Racism Fund is one of the most important ways that we work to build a more equitable and inclusive country. Over the past two years, the CRRF has directed over $5 million to support the powerful anti-racism work of almost 300 organizations all over Canada through NARF.
Nearly 400 organizations from across the country applied for this first cycle of 2023-2024 NARF funding, a testament to the ongoing need for resources for crucial anti-racism work in Canada. The CRRF thanks all those who applied.
The CRRF will continue to add to the list of first cycle recipients in the coming days as we finalize grantees, and share exciting upcoming grantee events and initiatives on our social media channels. Announcements regarding recipients of the next cycles will be made in March.
